Your choice of location will play a big role in your final images and in the experience overall. Whether you decide on a location that’s urban, rural, in a forest, on a beach, or in-studio, we’ll create a session that showcases your unique style and personality! Either on-location or in studio, my goal is to capture the best version of YOU!
On-location – In addition to my home studio, I have several locations in the downtown Cincinnati and the east side of Cincinnati where I typically shoot, but I am open to location suggestions from you! Remember this is your shoot, so if there is a place where you’d like to be captured, please let me know. You can also let me know your preferences in particular types of locations: urban, lakes/ponds, fields, forests, and so on. Locations can be discussed during the phone consultation when you book your session. I typically like to do on-location sessions in early morning or a few hours before sunset. We can also discuss night sessions if you like that vibe! I can shoot weekdays or weekends – most Saturday or Sunday mornings in downtown are fairly quiet and allow for undisturbed shooting. I travel frequently and have photographed in nearly 30 National Parks, many beaches, and in cities across the US such as New York, New Orleans, Seattle, Chicago, and more. Let me know your ideal location for a shoot!
In-Studio – When I’m not on-location, I’m in my intimate home studio in Anderson Township. The studio is one-half of my home’s first floor with a private bathroom, viewing appointment room, and professional studio with lighting, props, and backdrops. My clients love the quiet and privacy that my home studio provides just 5 minutes from Beechmont Avenue, Anderson Towne Center, and I-275.
I strive to offer an all-inclusive and concierge-level service to my clients – from professional hair, makeup, and lashes, to refreshments during the reveal sessions – I want each client to feel pampered and important. With magazine-style photoshoots, you are sure to feel well taken care of! I also offer heirloom-quality products like leather and leatherette albums with exquisite cover options and folio boxes that will showcase your beautiful images for generations to come. All images are printed on archival paper and come in archival mats. Wall art options include matted prints, metal, or canvas with several wood frame options to compliment your décor. Your wall art purchase even comes with complimentary local delivery and installation!
While I do take charge of the shoot and direct my clients in posing, I also encourage creative input too. I’ll often ask clients if they see any particular background or street vignette they are drawn to, or if they see something cool they’d like to incorporate into their images. I’m not offended if a client brings me an example picture and says, “Hey, can we try this?” I always try to accommodate the client’s ideas and encourage everyone to keep the ideas flowing – to make sure the experience is the best possible for my clients. Sometimes the results don’t pan out, but when they do, it can be epic – so there’s never a bad idea and I’m ready to try just about anything! If you’re not a creative person, don’t worry. My background in art and design provides me with enough creative ideas for any client photoshoot.
